3.     Inviting international tech professionals for a short-term visitation.

4.     Inviting tech professionals from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau to Taiwan for a short-term visitation.

5.     Organizing cross-strait science and technology academic conferences.

6.     Subsidizing domestic international academic conferences.

(II) Application procedures

1.     Applications are processed pursuant to the "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Subsidy for Domestic Experts and Scholars to Attend International Academic Conferences," "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council Subsidy for Teams to Participate in Conferences of International Academic Organizations," "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council Subsidy for Inviting International Tech Professionals for Short-term Visitation," "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council Subsidy for Inviting Tech Professionals from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau for Short-term Visitation," "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council Subsidy for Organizing Cross-Strait Science and Technology Academic Conferences," and "Operation Directions of National Science and Technology Council Subsidy for Organizing International Academic Conferences."

2.     Go to the National Science and Technology Council website https://www.nstc.gov.tw/ and log in to the “Academic Research Service Portal” to apply online. Paper submissions are not required.

(II) Application procedures

1.     Applications are processed pursuant to the "Directions on Subsidy for Research Project Results Presentation."

2.     Online application: Log in to the Engineering and Technology Promotion Center (ETPC) website http://www.etop.org.tw/ to apply online.

3.     Paper application: After completing the online application, download and print out the application form under the "Related Forms" section on the Secretariat website, fill out the form, obtain approval of the unit head and dean, and submit it to the Secretariat office, which will forward to the ETPC to apply for the subsidy.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) provides subsidies for international academic and educational exchange activities.

(I)  Subsidized items

1.     Organize international academic conferences, workshops, or academic lectures in Taiwan.

2.     Organize overseas educational exhibitions, recruitment activities, or international university-level academic conferences.

3.     Other international academic exchange activities recognized by the MOE policies.

(II) Application procedures

1.     Applications are processed pursuant to the "Directions for the Provision of Subsidies by the Ministry of Education for International Academic Exchange Events."

2.     The applicant shall download and print out the application form under the "Related Forms" section on the Secretariat website, fill out the form, obtain approval from the unit head and dean, and submit it to the Secretariat office, which will forward the case to the MOE for final acceptance.
