Incentives shall be granted to newly hired exceptional talent in accordance with National Taiwan University Directives Governing Incentives for Newly Hired Exceptional Talents (recipients of NTU Chair Professorship Allowance, Appointing Distinguished Professor Allowances, Flexible Additional Pay, and Additional Compensation are not eligible to apply):
- Eligible applicants are newly hired quota-based full-time faculty members (or research fellows) who meet one of the following qualifications:
- Have not served or do not serve as a quota-based full-time faculty members (or research fellows) at other academic research institutions in Taiwan.
- Have held a position at a foreign academic research institution during the 5 years prior to their appointment at NTU.
Applicants who do not meet the above qualifications may still be considered if they are newly hired quota-based full-time faculty members (or research fellows) and possess other outstanding or exceptional achievements.
- Incentive amounts:
For applicants recruited from overseas or non-quota-based faculty and researchers from institutions in Taiwan:
- Professor (Research fellow): Not less than NT$80,000 per month
- Associate professor (Associate research fellow): Not less than NT$60,000 per month
- Assistant professor (Assistant research fellow): Not less than NT$40,000 per month
For applicants recruited from quota-based faculty and researchers of other universities or academic research institutions, the incentive amount shall be determined by the University’s Review Committee for Incentives for Newly Hired Exceptional Talent.
