Athletic Facilities: Faculty members enjoy discount when using the following facilities:

NTU Gymnasia

(1) Main campus

1. NTU Sports Center: an indoor swimming pool, a dance room, a gymnastics room, a martial arts room, a table tennis room, four squash courts, a general court on the first floor, and the main court (for badminton, basketball, volleyball, and handball) on the third floor.
2. Gymnasium, or the “Old Gym”: a general court on the first floor (for badminton, basketball, volleyball, and handball); a dance room and a table tennis room on the second floor; and a judo room, a table tennis room, and weight training room on the third floor.
3. Swimming pool: a standard size outdoor swimming pool, measuring 50 x 22 m, and 1.30-1.60 m deep; opens in winter and summer seasons every year.
4. Outdoor sports facilities: a 400-meter standard PU running track, 8 full basketball courts (some at the Center for Earthquake Engineering Research), 10 half basketball courts (some at Center for Earthquake Engineering Research), 7 volleyball courts, a baseball/softball field (including a practice area), a football/rugby court, the Xinsheng tennis courts (8 hard tennis courts, 2 clay courts, and 1 tennis practice wall), an artificial turf court, two turf volley courts, one golf practice field, and one outdoor fitness area.

(2) College of Medicine:

1. Gymnasium: a general court (for badminton, basketball, volleyball, and handball) and a table tennis room on the first floor, and a dance room, and an office on the second floor.

2. Tennis Courts: two clay courts and one hard court.

3. Other Sports Facilities: two basketball courts and two volleyball courts.

Sports Facilities at the College of Medicine

Sports events: The following are annual sports events for faculty and students organized by the Athletic Department.

1. • NTU swimming competition in October
   • NTU Athletic Games in November
   • NTU Campus Marathon in March
   • The rules and regulations for each competition are adjusted based on each year’s schedule. For more, visit the Athletic Department
