In addition to strenuous teaching and research work, faculty members also need to assume important responsibilities of educating and counseling students. Undergraduate or postgraduate is an invaluable time for making friends, studying, finding purpose in life, and career development. Therefore, it is important that faculty members can share their experiences and extend timely assistance to students.

2. Two committees: Chaired by the dean of individual college, the College Mentor Work Committee coordinates the implementation of the mentorship system in departments (institutes), and organizes activities involving both faculty members and students. Chaired by the commissioner of individual department (institute), the Department (Institute) Mentor Work Committee resolves on all matters of the department (institute) mentorship system, as well as the allocation, utilization and assessment of mentor counseling fees.
3. Distinguished academic advisors selection: Each year, mentors who are dedicated and have excellent mentoring performance are selected and rewarded on a regular basis. The Department (Institute) Mentor Work Committee will first make recommendation of the candidates and forward to individual colleges.
